No Knife
Holy blast from the past, I used to be very much into these gents. Almost completely forgot about them. An indie rock flavored post-punk center with the creamy coating of lite post hardcore and angular math guitar's. Vocals certainly finish out the cast and help you stay interested. A great point of reference during the 90's for many of today's groups in my opinion. O and I failed to mention there is a nice pop sensibility that runs through these songs. No Knife avoid the typical 90's indie rock stigma by pulling no stops in adding sprinkles of many different rock genres into something that is very much their own. Its solid like a Sunday, no joke.

Macha - See It Another Way
90's indie rock that tends to get lumped into the slowcore camp with arguably the kings of the genre Bedhead due to a wonderful split between the two. Athens Georgia's own Macha however hold an exciting "one up" over bands of the time using a lot of Gamelan instruments to blanket their searing indie rock. Thats right a junk load of drums, nipple gongs, bamboo flutes and my personal favorite the dulcimer, give Macha a stand out style that I can not say I've ever heard done before. While later albums would find Macha shifting the balance of their music (even incorporating dance elements) it still works. See it Another Way I believe to be an excellent start to an often over looked band.

STNNNG
Aggressively angular guitars mixed with spoken word vocals and shouting are always a recipe for success in my book. Clearly there is a deep love with Fugazi going on as well but I'd say its harder to find bands that aren't influenced by them so no points will be deducted. There is also a liberal sprinkling of mathy structures but certainly not enough to be overbearing. At times I'd say they remind me if Slint was angrier and played faster, all in all a high compliment. Not for everyone but a great redux of some classic 90's alternative indie rock with an edge
